Christy has a wealth of professional design experience as a Creative Director from Hong Kong. She received a BA in Craft and Design from Sheridan College with high honours. She has participated in many local and international art exhibitions and has received several academic and art scholarships. Nature is not just a source of inspiration for her; it's a part of her being.
The grandeur of the landscape, the symphony of wildlife, and the ebb and flow of energy all resonate with her deeply. She sees Mother Nature as a complex entity with unique beauty and resilience. Nature bestows love and harmony upon us but also reacts fiercely to the disruptions and imbalances we humans create.
The majestic beauty of mountains profoundly inspires the series of works. Each piece reflects a deep fascination with their grandeur and our meaningful connection with these natural wonders. This exploration highlights mountains' themes— the breathtaking landscapes that captivate us, the rich folklore and myths surrounding them, and the exhilarating challenges of mountain exploration.
It addresses the delicate balance of ecosystems and the resilience needed to thrive in harsh environments. Ultimately, this series celebrates mountains' transformative power and remarkable ability to inspire and rejuvenate the human spirit. I aspire for these pieces to resonate deeply with the audience, inviting them to reflect and engage with the themes presented. Each artwork is crafted to evoke emotion and spark a conversation about our connection to the environment.
