Born in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan in 1942. Misa Aihara graduated from Joshibi Univ. of Art & Design, Tokyo and began her fine art career in the early 1970s. Aihara has had numerous solo and group shows in Japan, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Austria, the UK and the USA. Aihara's works were included in the Florence Art Biennale, London Art Biennale, Art Expo NY, Chianciano Art Awards, Tokyo Tower Art Biennale.
My subject is a philosophical exploration of what constitutes 'reality' within a work of art. I do it with pictorial abstract elements. I want to give a composition on a canvas an emotional and spiritual impact and invite the viewer to explore a deeper dimension of consciousness.
