Nina Enger

Nina Enger is a contemporary artist from Norway whose paintings have been exhibited both in her home country and internationally, including in Luxembourg, Italy, France, Monaco, Spain, South Korea, Chile, the UK, and the USA. Her creative process involves a lot of trial and error, and rather than sticking to one style, she follows her inner artistic instincts. She feels that painting is a way to empty out what is covering the essence of her soul.

Her abstract work features a subtle interplay of dark and light, mist, contrast, and colour, creating a sense of movement. Nina's atmospheric landscape paintings are often inspired by her walks in nature. Her people collection comes into being from sporadic revelations in her life. During the painting process, her inner world unfolds in unexpected ways, leading to surprising discoveries even for herself. She lives and works in Oslo.

I see thoughts and the creative process depicted in the clouds – constantly changing shape, colour, charge and density in the space that I am. I do my best to express the life force surging through me, having no other agenda.
