“Elements of dreams, memory, and pure invention are just as critical in my work as are any components of observed reality. They are another way to see. My aim is to use this unique visual language to interpret the emotional experiences of the world I see within myself as well as those I see around me.

Like life itself, my artwork is a study in contrasts: light and dark, solid and void, vertical and horizontal, warm and cool, the real and the imagined, and glimpses of the past, present, and future. My process is to design with these conflicting energies - allowing them to sometimes find balance and harmony on the surface of the paper.

Rooted in classical drawing and Beaux-Arts style watercolor technique, my artwork has evolved over time to embrace more romantic expressions with an emphasis on personal experience and the power of the imagination.

It is my goal to establish an unspoken connection with the viewer – creating the opportunity for others to see new reflections of their own perceptions of the world within my own.”
